Tufts Sustainability Report

Hey all,

Saw this and thought it might be of interest.

According to the 2007 College Sustainability Report Card, Tufts gets an F for "shareholder engagement" and "endowment transparency", which shouldn't come as any surprise to those of us who tried to get a copy of Tufts's portfolio in 2000 and create an investor responsibility code.

On the flip side, Tufts gets an A for "Climate Change and Energy" and “Food and Recycling", as well as a B for "Green Building."

Not sure what this means for us as progressives. I have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised by this report. But I'd like to see what's in Tufts's portfolio and work on a rigorous socially responsible investment policy. Exceeding Kyoto is not enough, and abstaining from proxy voting is simply not right.
