Larry Summers to give 2007 Snyder Lecture

Professor Gary Goldstein reports:

I have to bring this Tufts news to your attention.
There is a new outrage in the making from the administration. In a previous email I mentioned that the prestigious Snyder Presidential Lecture was given in the Fall by Shelby Steele, a prominent, very conservative opponent to affirmative action. In my opinion, that lecture emboldened the Primary Source people to produce their racist verse. Well, I just saw the announcement of the next Snyder lecturer - fresh from being thrown out of Harvard for the divisiveness of his policies and his sexist remarks, Larry Summers! What is our administration thinking? Having given a forum to racist rhetoric last term, is the administration now giving the podium to a sexist stereotyper?
